GPS Synchroniser

Record event times with microsecond accuracy

The Verif-i GPS Synchroniser unit can be connected to equipment such as seismic source controllers and provides a time stamp of events using GPS timing as the reference.

  •  Measure time of remote events
  •  Constant monitoring or quick checks
  •  2 µs typical accuracy, 1µs resolution
  •  8100 records stored in non-volatile memory
  •  Autonomous operation
  •  Rugged construction

The units can either be used on their own to derive an absolute independent event time or multiple units can be used to compare timing of different remote events. Maximum of one reading every two seconds.

The time of each event is displayed on a backlit display and stored in a 8100 event non-volatile memory. Using the supplied RS-232 serial cable, the event data is exported in near real time and the stored data can then be transferred to a PC . If the memory is full then the oldest record is erased to allow the new data to be written.

A self test facility is built in to confirm the accuracy of the internal clock.
